This coin purse is great to use up that scrap yarn that you have laying around and works up really quickly. Any kind of scrap yarn can be used so the possibilities are endless!
Materials:
- Small amount of ww yarn
- G Hook (4mm) or hook to obtain gauge
- stitch markers
- drawstring stopper
Gauge: 3" x 3" = 12 sc across by 12 rows
Coin purse is worked in a continuous round so place stitch marker in the first stitch of each round

Rnd 22: ch 1, hdc in each stitch around (36 hdc) sl st into first st and finish off
Drawstring:
Cut two strings that are roughly 36" long. Tie one end into a knot. Secure the knot to a stable place (I generally hold it with my foot or put it under one of the legs of my coffee table). Twist the two pieces together. You will want to make sure that the twist is tight. Once they both are twisted really tight fold the string in half and let it twist upon it self. Tie a knot at the end of the drawstring that has the ends of the yarn. If you are using the drawstring stopper, slide it on towards the knot. Weave the drawstring through the dc opening on the purse. Insert other end of string into drawstring stopper. Tie both ends together and trim off the first knot.
