I kept craving these cookies but couldn't bring myself to make them mostly because I hate the clean up that is involved after making them. I tried to find my go to recipe but couldn't not find it. I thought I had saved a pin for it but after searching for about 10 minutes I couldn't find it so I just did a search for pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. Now I don't usually go to the first recipe I see. I will actually look at all the pics and whichever one looks the most delicious is the one I will try. The recipe I found by TwoTwentyOne looked amazing! Her cookies looked uniform and fluffy, although mine weren't uniform they were still fluffy and very yummy. | Today I ruined my oldest school-loving daughter's day! I made my house smell like fall. The smell of cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg lingers in the air as hot fluffy pumpkin chocolate chip cookies are pulled from my oven. This is usually a treat that I make in the fall time, hence the reason why my daughter stated it smelled like fall, but I was at the store a few days ago and saw some pumpkin chocolate chip cookies by the bakery. They kept calling my name but I resisted the urge to buy them knowing I had all the ingredients at home to make them. Plus homemade cookies taste so much better than any of the cookies you buy at the store, right? Here is her recipe. Two Twenty One: Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies I did make some modifications to it though. The recipe calls for only one cup of pumpkin but I had a 15 oz can of it, so not quite 2 cups but I still doubled the recipe. When it comes to the spices, the recipe only calls for cinnamon but I love the addition that clove, nutmeg and ginger adds to the overall taste of the cookie. So in addition to the cinnamon I added 1/2 tsp of ground nutmeg, 1/2 tsp of ground cloves and 1/4 tsp of ground ginger. I'm sure the recipe is deliciouse with just cinnamon but I have always added the extra spices to make it my own :) |
