There are many, many designers with a ton of patterns. No matter what pattern I get for a hat I ended up always using my pattern for the base beanie and then attaching the features. It took me several patterns and a lot of time to find a pattern that works with my style of crocheting (I tend to be a tight crocheter), but I have learned to always measure the hat, especially if you are selling it. Having a standard to go off really helps. Below are the sizes that seem to be the most accurate when working up a hat, remember to always check your gauge before starting a pattern because yarn, hook size and your tension at the moment will always be what determines the size of the finished project. Happy Crocheting!!
